Laurence Connor to direct the West End production of Chess at the ENO
West End and Broadway director, Laurence Connor will return to London to direct the new production of Chess at the English National Opera in the new year. The musical tells a story of love and political intrigue, set against the background of the Cold War in the late 1970s/early 1980s, in which superpowers attempt to manipulate an international chess championship for political ends.
The production will open on 26th April 2017.
